£50: Trains four people to grow their own vegetables on a year-long course
In northern Malawi, many people suffer from malnutrition caused by a lack of food and a very basic diet. Every year, people go without food during the ‘hunger season’, lasting from December to March.
Our agricultural projects support some of the communities’ most vulnerable people: those who are caring for AIDS orphans, people living with HIV and AIDS, and child-headed households. Training people how to grow a wider variety of fruits and vegetables enriches their diet and enables them to grow food the whole year round. So far, we’ve trained over 3,000 people to grow additional crops.
Your gift helps us to combat malnutrition by teaching more people about growing a range of crops - thank you!
